That Makes Me Sick-Mindset of Money

Bill Gates Home in Media, WA  He walks through the magazine isle with rapid eyes looking for it. His eye movement scanning each magazine cover quickly as if he is shoveling each cover out of the way while digging for gold.

    Finally!

At last he has found it, the issue of Bill Gates extravagant  multi  Billion  dollar home.  What art, what  grandeur, what decedent visions for the eyes to drink in.

He walks up to the counter and proudly places it on the counter to purchase and swiftly hears, "That makes me sick,  that should be a sin paying that much money for something when there are so many people in the world in need."

He stands there for a moment, a bit in shock. He looks down at the magazine then slowly looks up at her as if carefully choosing his aim before firing.

With a calm caring look and relaxed tone he pulls his verbal trigger:

"Do you realize how many jobs he created when he had that home built?"

She looks on at him in disbelief.

"Do you realize how many carpenters, electricians, plumbers and contractors of all sorts that were able pay their mortgage, feed their families and and put their kids through school because of his so called sin?"

She stares back down at the cover of the magazine not daring to make eye contact just yet again.

"I just can't see your view of someone who has touched so many lives yet calling his blessings of others a sin?
    "

Looking with in at that moment she looks back and says, "I apologize, you're right."

Beliefs around money are a tricky thing if you're not clear on them.

The conversation is darn near true by the way. My good friend had that near exact same experience with that very magazine featuring Bill Gates home.

His reaction was one of clear belief that money is good. Her thought, money is bad.

Belief around money can absolutely affect your ability to attract or take action towards creating it.

    Ask yourself these questions:

    • What do you feel money is to you?
    • How do you see it affecting your life if you have more, and how will that affect others in your life?
    • How much money do you feel is necessary?
    • Are you tracking your money even if you don't have much?

Money is an affect more so than a cause.

Meaning, money of course is a result of your life well lived, rather than you're life being well lived because you have more money.

Here is most peoples thought process around money:

"When I have more money I'll track it, grow it and invest it."

Here is what wealth people think:

"Because I track, grow and invest it, I have more money."

This will directly affect how much activity you take towards building your network marketing business, what kind of people you're comfortable approaching and what kind of support you will actually give that person.

    Think about it.

How Are You Parenting Your Inner Child-Self Esteem 101

Bath time = happy child time "You're worthless, seriously do you really think you're going to amount to sh*t you snotty nosed youngen!?"

Those words were what I heard when I was 13 yrs old. I unfortunately still can hear the spite and see the spit coming from my aunts mouth when she spewed those words at me.

I can still remember the double wide trailer we lived in, the dark brown carpet and the hallway leading into her bedroom where we were standing when she said it.

The challenge is I'm sure those words had a lasting impression on me. Well I know they did.

I remember saying "I'll show her." Hence my drive. You can imagine my actions from that point on weren't from a place of good but more from a point of needing to provide social proof that I was worthy.

Not the healthiest place to come from.

So fast forward 22 years later and I'm on the phone with Jana Fleming, an amazing life coach, who takes me from 0 to 60 in less than half an hour. She takes me deep as only a coach could.

I come to realize that my inner parent has taken on a blue print in some ways that act as my Aunt did when I was younger as well as my reaction to her statements as a 13 year old.

Telling myself I'm not worthy of certain success or gods favor, then attempting to prove to myself that I am yet ultimately, sabotaging myself so that the cycle repeats.  Certainly sounds like what a computer program would do doesn't it?

Based on my reading of Simple-ology, The Simple Science of Getting What You Want by Mark Joyner, it's exactly what our brains are and exactly the sort of thing we do based on our programming as children.

My inner parent of today just became aware of this because of Jana's coaching. For years I was driven by proving myself. It was an endless non-fulfilling drama that I would put myself through over and over.

Have I had  financial success before? Of course. But when I look back I was miserable. The rest of my life just wasn't right.

It's a trap that many people get caught up in. Living by other peoples expectations can be a rat race that drives us to ultimately live unauthentic lives. And I got caught in it big time.

What does my story have to do with you?

Well once again I've made myself very transparent for this reason. To share with you what insights you're also capable of.

As Jana asked me, "How are you parenting your inner child?"

I was stunned even today with my personal development and awareness how I treat my inner child sometimes. Ok, a lot of times.

If you will take some time and ask yourself, would you treat a 3 or 4 year child the way you treat yourself sometimes?

Would you say some of the things to a 3 or 4 year old that you say to yourself?

    Would you?

It's this self insight that has made me very aware of how I talk to myself lately and I'll tell you it can be very tricky. I was caught by one of my closest friends even saying something out load about myself in the midst of this very conversation! They had to make me aware of it!

My biggest suggestion is that anyone can benefit from a life coach or even a business coach in general. Even Tiger woods has a golf coach.

A life coach like Jana Fleming can make you aware of and make you think on topics that could be holding you back in your business and in your everyday life.

I'm not a life coach but I can tell you that many lives have been in my hands and are in the network marketing world I'm in so I feel it is my responsibility to be the best that I can be and be the example.

Self reflection and seeing how I am parenting my inner child has been huge for me and still requires a close circle of friends that I trust and respect that make me aware if I happen to be a bad parent.

Take note of how you're parenting your inner child on a daily basis. One of the great things Jana said for me to do is get a picture of when I was 3 to 5 years old and have it sitting out to remind me of how I'm treating that child.

Hmm I was awful cute at that age so I think I'll go take my inner child to Disney World this weekend lol.

    To your success.

P.S. That isn't me in the bathtub but he is a cute little guy isn't he?

Finding Yourself In a Noisy World Through Meditation

Tree of Light  "Character is like a tree, and reputation is like a shadow. The shadow is what we think of it; the tree is the real thing." -Abraham Lincoln 16th President of the United States

I apologize, I have not posted in over a week however there is a reason. I'll share that with you in a minute.

We live in a very noisy world would you agree?

I'm not talking about literal noise. (Ok if you're in NY you may disagree) I'm talking about people and companies influence & persuasion of the world that desperately wants your attention.

It's coming at you from all angles. You're getting hit with advertising in so many forms it boggles the mind. From TV, internet, text messages, billboards, signs, movies I could go on and on. All of them biding for your attention and your dollars.

All of them having influence over you in some form or fashion.

The quote from Abraham Lincoln says that our reputation is what we think, our character is what we actually do.

I believe that's pretty simple. Remember the quote: "I cannot hear what you say because what you do is so loud."

With as much noise as going on around us and external attempts at programming, we can forget what we stand for unless we remind ourselves daily of our vision and what we truly believe in.

Stand tall today because you you are a child of god and all that is abundant.

Cut through the noise and take some quite time daily for yourself.

Inside I'm finding peace and so can you or more of it.

I will admit I have taken a lot of time away from daily meditation and I am fully aware of the noise going on inside now. It took me having almost an hour and a half with a life coach last week to fully realize it. That's why I haven't posted. I've been in deep thought.

Mediation, prayer, quiet time whatever you want to call it, it's necessary for you to be grounded in your character.

Don't live in the shadows, live in the sun and grow strong like the tree.

    Think about it.
