Ok if the title alone didn't get your attention this message probably will. I'd almost apologize for the langauge but it's part of the todays lesson. You'll see what I mean when you get to the end of this post. I've had some interesting experiences over the past few days and I had to share with you an important message that will impact you and your team.
If you work from home and especially in a network marketing company here are some of the things you're going to learn when you're done with this post:
-How to keep from getting frustrated with your results
-Over come your new people quitting so quickly
- How you can overcome procrastination and fear
-How to inspire your new people to motivate themselves
-Give yourself and your team a bullet proof belief
I want to bring it to light why your new people, your team and even you get frustrated. The same reason why I've gotten frustrated...why ANYONE probably gets frustrated with anything.
It's because you want different results but you haven't learned any new skills. That's right. Whenever you get frustrated it's because you are wanting different results but havne't aquired the skills to handle the situation and usually you resent the idea of having to learn those new skills. Or worse yet, go through the pain of applying them.
You keep doing the same things but wanting different results. Bottom line.
-You keep using the same langauge with prospects
-You keep asking yourself the same kinds of negative questions
-You keep saying the same negative things to yourself in given situations
-You use the same behaviors that you always have
However one thing HAS changed. You know you want a DIFFERENT result. You keep doing what you've always done, saying what you've always said, acting in the same behaviors that you always have but wanting and expecting a different lifestyle.
And you DON'T Get it?!
You know what? That would frustrate me too. (Or any sane person)
Guess what? You probably already know all of the things you need in order to over come these challenges.
Here's what you do. Ready for the answer?
Start today not only learning new things, but putting them to use. Apply them.
I can usually tell when someone is just reading the books listening to the CD's and taking in information but aren't putting any of it to use. (Motivational Junkies they are lol)
That's right. They get the same results they always have but not only that, they complain about it! Know anyone like that? Hmmmm?
I see the numbers in my organization and it's usally the same story. The biggest complainers are usually producing the least if at all. It doesn't mean they can't be super stars. It just means they aren't applying new skills to their business.
For example you want to overcome your frustration? Realize you're in a lesson at that moment. What can you learn in that moment and what skill must you learn to keep from repeating your frustration?
You want your new people to not quit as quickly? Prepare them for the challenges they are going to face and prepare them to learn new skills in order to get new results. It's NOT easy but it is simple. Don't paint it to be a candy land they are about to step into. This is a business. If they've never ran a business...they have some learning to do. Let them know that after their 1st paycheck.
You want to inspire your team? Teach them to prepare THEIR new team members to to do the same thing! New skills will empower not only themselves but their new people. They ARE making a difference in someones life and that will inspire them. Not to mention they are making income by keeping people in the business that apply themselves!
This is not only a skill you can apply to your business life but one you can apply to your personal life or family life. As I'm reading this I'm thinking of one particular personal relationship I can apply it to.
Now that may upset you a little bit. But that's ok. It just means I've bumped up against something you hold as a very personal belief. Might be one you want to take a look at. Frustrated? Now's the time to apply what you've learned. :-}
