Now I pray when you make change in your life you don't do it with that kind of face lol. However Lets talk about change. Reason being is that the end of the year is coming. Most people will procrastinate with their thoughts of new years resolutions.
The time to plan and commit is now!
Let me share with you my blunders and hopefully you can learn from it. Although this won't read like you may think.
I subrcribed to Donalds Trump University almost a year ago. What did I do with it?
That doesn't mean I didn't watch the DVD's listen to the CD's and not get any value from it. I surely did. However what is interesting is the excuses I came up with in order not to follow through on the continued work and where it lead me afterwards.
1) Real estate isn't my thing and it seems that's all he's focusing on. (not true)
2) It's not in the budget to hire one of his success coaches
3) Even though the Don supports network marketing he doesn't have coaches that are top income earners in my company that can teach me how to get to the top. (Yes, I saw that I said how lol. I'm cringing as you read this still lol!)
4) I'm not successful enough in my current industry to venture out into other industries yet
This list goes on and on....
Now let me say some of my reasons are good reasons for not pursuing Trump University. (Hey they are my excuses and I'm already sold on them right lol?)
Ultimately I realized that pursuing it right now wasn't going to get me to my goals faster. It didn't align with my values and vision at the moment. (Network marketing and training are my passions)
I got real with myself and realized my intentions when I got the Trump University program was to associate with someone more successful than me and to tap into someone elses inspired action.
Did it work?
I believe so. It inspired me to share with you today what it means to take inspired action!
Sometimes you have to get off track in order to know where the right track is. That's what happened to me.
Rather than beat myself up over it and chalk it up as another failure, I used the experience as a marker.
Or it's a way of saying, "hey, it was ok for me to stop off at the desert bar but is that really what's going to get me to my goal of 22 lost lbs of fat and a body fat of 7%?"
The big fat answer was no. (No Pun Intended lol)
I go back to Jeff Olsons book The Slight Edge and realize that change is not an immediate quantified happening although you can have moments of extreme clarity that will encourage you to start making the correct slight edge decisions consistantly.
How does all of this play into you and your new years resolutions?
Focus on your extreme moment of clarity.
Look back on your year so far and realize where were you off track and where were you on track. Where do you think you went wrong and did you get yourself back to right?
Put a plan back in place and follow it starting today.
Make it a habit now so that by January 1st you're not struggling like a kid on a their 1st bicycle. You know the kid who wobbles around and falls of several times!
Don't let that be you.
Don't allow your past problems, programming or I like to call challenges be your defeat.
P.S. I'm reading Joe Vitale's Zero Limits right now and in it he states that problems are opportunities to connect to your divinity and clear away your past programming. How exciting is that?!
P.P.S. I've been saying "I love you and Please forgive me," taking on full responsability for whatever comes into my life or has come into my life. This was huge for me when I looked at what I experienced with the Trump University. That's small potatoes compared to other deeper area's i'm applying this to in my life. I hope you do to.
