Haven't you always had that experience in life, where you look back and realize some of the most, well at the time you thought were, the most terrifying times in your life where really doorways or stepping stones to a higher learning?

As I lay in bed waking up yesterday morning I thought of that fact. I look at right now and I figured out, who I am today is not who I was yesterday. The same can be said for someone who finds themselves at the bottom tomorrow too.

The slight edge principle is always in full effect. What consistent day to day activity do you find yourself in when moving forward in your business? Chances are you're not moving forward in your business because you don't find yourself in any consistent day to day activity. Interesting thought?

Maybe because you're immobilized because you're afraid of the feedback you will get from prospects.

Be empowered to one end, and that is all out consistent massive action toward your single vision.

Decide today that you're going to make a difference. Decide that you're ready to stop living down here and that you're going to be the person who lives up there who has faith in your accomplishments. You can choose to be any kind of personality that you choose.

Be authentic and be who your principles allow you to be. However know that growth and change aren't always fun and easy. I believe this is a belief many people fall prey to.

Your beliefs will be tested many times. There will be times you fail those tests and you may doubt yourself. It doesn't mean you have flaws. It means you are actually living at a level that many don't. You stepped away from your ego. Your ego wants you to believe you are only of this world and doesn't want you to step into your faith. The faith that you are deserving and abundant.

You're willing to take risks that many don't. That alone is inspiring. That means that you will be inspiring to someone. You just may not have stumbled across that person yet.

Today is a different day and you can start with a clean slate now. Grow Change and take Charge of yourself.

Someone is waiting for you to step into their lives, will you step into your faith?

The Self-Help Saga-Who Is On Your Side?

I went to a discussion forum the other day that is ran by a very well known self improvement blogger. I was shocked. I mean really blown away. I was almost depressed when I came out. (I put up the pretty picture to feel better lol)

Want to know why? I'll tell you in a second.

The self help industry almost seems problematic when I really think about it. Self medicating it seems isn't the answer it's just a start. The effectiveness of self helping can be as elusive as the answers you seek in the 1st place.

I mean if you knew what they were you'd have already made the changes right?

Well in the forum I mentioned it seemed everyone was miserable! I mean they were really laying all the cards on the table crying for help!  From failing marriages to depression and even as far as long past relationships that they were still struggling with years later.

I mean all they have to do is read, internalize and put what he writes on his blog into action right?!

Wrong. You and I are a little more complex than that aren't we?

Then it hit me. People just want to know someone actually cares. It's the connection we're looking for. Do you find yourself thinking about it too at times? I know some do because of the emails that are sent to me surrounding the topics of this blog.

I know because there are times (few) when I have struggled with the same thought.

Why do I persist in my ways?  Why do I continue to want to connect with other like minded individuals and are they of quality or quantity when I do? In my past life of drugs, alcohol and failing character the answer was definitely the later.

Today those choices are much different. I choose friendships that empower myself and my business so that I'm more effective as a human being.

Self improvement & self help are not the complete answer in my opinion they are only a start and serve to maintain. Everyone can soar much higher with a coach and even higher with a team. Everyone needs to know that someone else is on their side watching out for their best interest.

This is one reason I love the network marketing industry. Many times I am coached by my team more than they are coached by me...little do they know. :-}

Mentally it's one of the reasons teams have so much success. Football teams, basket ball teams and units of elite fighting forces. They are all highly trained, highly skilled and most importantly trained to play team.

Ask yourself how aware are you at playing team and what is your effectiveness as a player or as a coach!   
Are you motivated to inspire your team through you're own personal excellence today?

Who's on your side and willing to help you get the most out of your business and most importantly who's willing to help you get the most out of you.

Be the best you can be and be sure to be strategically aligned with someone who feels the same. No one needs to be left alone to fend for themselves. Otherwise they may wind up in a forum looking to self medicate themselves. Not a horrible start, it's just not a place to end up.

How Self Improvement Leaves "You" Behind

No tricks no magic...but there is an illusion to be found in this post. More on that in second.

One of the biggest things I've noticed in my network marketing career is the change that people go through. Whether it is the positive change people go through or the fact that change wasn't quite their thing and they dropped out.

Coming to grips with this hasn't always been easy for me. Has it for you? Watching people who you know are completely capable of being successful but quit is saddening and frustrating if you allow it.

Let me quote from a book I've recently read that explains this process of not coping with self change very well and how understanding this can empower you:

"The process of identifying a self inevitably involves loss as well as gain. We discover our boundaries, and those boundaries by definition separate us from our fellows. As we clarify our perceptions, we lose our misconceptions. As we eliminate ambiguity, we lose illusion as well. We arrive at clarity, and clarity creates  change...As we notice which friends bore us, which situations leave us stifled, we are often rocked by waves of sorrow. We may want our illusions back! I still to this day remember an associate that I became good friends with and got close too. I had dinner with his family, we attended events together and I thought for sure he had caught the vision.

Then one day he said to me, "Tony the one thing about this business that bothers me the most is that the people around me I thought were my friends aren't my friends at all. I almost wish I hadn't started this business so that I didn't know any better."

I didn't even realize it but he was saying he wanted his illusion back.

Sure enough about a week later he informed me he was out of the business. His clarity that started to create change scared him so bad so that he chose to go back to the illusion of what was more comfortable. Simply because of the boundaries that he discovered separated him from his friends.

Personal development or self improvement which ever you choose to name it is requires loss as well as gain in order to become who it is you envision.

You will be required to leave parts of "you" behind in order to become the facilitator of the life that you really desire. The same law applies to your associations. Just realize the law of association is in full effect with your new people and the gravitational pull of their associations aren't necessarily the most positive for them but are powerful.

You will also be required to leave people behind. Whether it is your own personal associations or team that choose their associations/illusions over one with you and your team.

Not everyone is prepared or believe they are capable of making that journey.  It's not your job to convince them either, only to coach, inspire and create a fun winning environment of empowerment. Your job becomes so much more fun at that point when you let go and it hurts a lot less.

The good news is this. You are now empowered to realize that in order to get to the top you can let go and have fun. Inspire, build your business by excellence and know you can't be everything to everybody but you will empower those ones that are ready, who are prepared and do believe.

They were just looking for someone like you to help direct them on their way. :-}

Discover The 3 Most Important Steps To Achieving Your Vision

  I'll get to the bowl of Jello in a minute but first...Home based habits are critical to the quality and longevity of your home  business. Otherwise you end up with another job that you're aimlessly working at day after day and you're feeling unempowered.

Are you easily frustrated in your business right now? Are you not making headway like you wish? Are you blaming it on the economy, your team or your company? Are you finding it hard to create or maintain a schedule of activity?

It may not be anything externally at all. It may be internally that you require some tweaking. Let's take a look at something that many newbies that start from home never do much less reexamine weekly and monthly.

Are you clear on where you're going with your business? Do you know what you want your life to look like and are you taking the steps necessary daily towards defining that vision?

What must we do to have absolute focus in our lives? Ah ha! That's the $57,000 question!

With out a clear picture of what we want our lives to look like, we're like bowls of unformed Jello. We know what it's supposed to be like after it sets however until then it's just well...unformed colored water.

Ok so that may be a lame analogy however let me explain lol.

With out a clear picture of what we want for our lives to look like, There is nothing to be disciplined about right? So although discipline is important in our home based venture, we must have something to be disciplined about first!

With out a clear picture we aren't able to set a goal right?

With out a clear picture of what we want our lives to look like we don't have a reason to work toward that vision right?

With out a reason we don't have a pay off because we never had a reason to set the goal.

So here is where you start:

1. Have a goal of what you want your life to look like
2. What is your reason for that goal?
3. What is the pay off for reaching that goal?

And there is a recipe for your vision. Yes this works! It also helps you define just how important something actually is or isn't because of your payoff. *Hint, it must be an emotional pay off to be a truly empowering motivating force!  

You must know why you do what you do every day. You must have it so clearly defined in your mind and on paper that you have no doubts about what your life is going to be like 5 years from now.

Start today by redefining your why and your vision for your business. Incorporate your family even and help them understand how important a role they play in it. Have fun with it and dream big dreams with them!
 
This isn't rocket science and lots of people talk and t rain on these principles, however the fact I believe it's important enough to mention again should say something.

Hint, you should be so clear on your vision and what you want your life to look like that you can see it like you can see your car right now or the lame bowl of Jello in the above picture lol.

17 Years Later I'm At It Again...

  Well it's funny how things come around in life.

In high school I took what is known as TV Production. Every morning we went through the process of putting on a tv show for the entire school. We had hosts, anchors, field reporters and even put together our own video projects to be aired. We shot,edited 

I have to admit it was a blast and my last year in high school I believe I had 3 periods of it lol. Needless to say I found I had a creative knack for creating video. Not surprising since I'm mainly a right brained individual.

Well I'm at it again almost 17 years later and I threw together a short clip to make this blog go viral to empower people. I think it took me longer to load it on tubemogul.com than it did to make it LOL. I'd love anyones feedback on it even though it's so short and would love if you could forward this to others you believe this blog could empower! I'll put together a few more as my schedule allows.
